Northwest Students Research Society (NSRS)

The Northwest Students Research Society (NSRS) is a student-led academic forum at Northwest School of Medicine dedicated to fostering a strong culture of undergraduate medical research. We aim to provide students with the guidance, mentorship, and skills needed to transform ideas into impactful and publishable projects.

Through workshops, mentorship circles, competitions, and collaborations, NSRS bridges the gap between medical education and practical research; empowering students to become innovators, critical thinkers, and contributors to global medical knowledge.

Objectives

  • To promote ethical and impactful undergraduate medical research.
  • To provide structured mentorship and training in research methodology.
  • To enhance critical thinking, data analysis, and scientific writing skills.
  • To connect students with faculty for interdisciplinary projects.
  • To build a community of research-active medical students.

Key Activities by NSRS:

  • Research workshops, webinars, and masterclasses (SPSS, meta-analysis, clinical audit, etc.).
  • Research quiz competitions and journal clubs.
  • Mentorship programs through the Emerging Researchers Wing.
  • Publication support and guidance for students.
  • Ambassadorship and outreach programs at the national level.
