Northwest School of Medicine’s 2nd Special Interest Group (SIG) session, “A Day with a Surgeon,” was a resounding success, bringing together over 160 attendees in Lecture Hall 1 on May 30, 2025. The event featured esteemed guest speaker Dr. Syed Irfan Kabir, Head of Surgical Oncology at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Peshawar.
Dr. Kabir, (CCT UK, FRCS – General & HPB Surgery, MSc Basic Surgical Sciences),
Head of Surgical Oncology, Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Peshawar, delivered a captivating session, sharing insights from his illustrious career journey and offering valuable guidance to aspiring surgeons. His presentation on Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery was particularly enlightening, showcasing his expertise.
The session concluded with an inspiring closing talk by Dr. Almas Fasih Khattak, followed by a certificate presentation to Dr. Kabir in appreciation of his contribution. Dr. Imran Mohib’s presence added to the event’s significance.
