In observance of World Thalassemia Day on May 8, 2025, students from Northwest School of Medicine visited the Fatimid Thalassemia Centre, reaffirming their commitment to patient welfare and social responsibility.
The visit was marked by meaningful interactions with young thalassemia patients, offering them companionship, encouragement, and emotional support. As part of the initiative, 9 pints of blood were donated, contributing directly to the treatment of patients in need.
This impactful effort was organized by the Blood Wing of Daeim Social Welfare Society – NWSM, led by General Secretary Umair Hamza, with key contributions from Blood Wing Coordinator Fahad Zaheer, Operational Coordinator Muhammad Ishaq, and Sub-Coordinator Muhammad Talha.
The day concluded with a heartfelt cake-cutting ceremony shared with the children, symbolizing hope, solidarity, and the spirit of giving.
