Northwest School of Medicine (NWSM) at the Inaugural Executive Micro-Credential Program on Higher Education Governance & Quality Assurance

Syed Safyan Ali Shah, Manager, Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), Northwest School of Medicine (NWSM), attended the Inaugural Ceremony of the Executive Micro-Credential Program on “Higher Education Governance & Quality Assurance” held on Saturday, 1 August 2026, at the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad, as a distinguished guest and an active member of the Pakistan Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (PNQAHE).

During the visit to HEC Headquarters, Safyan Ali Shah had the privilege of meeting Prof. Dr. Zia Ul-Haq, Executive Director, HEC, in his office. The meeting focused on exchanging views regarding the current challenges and future directions of Quality Enhancement Cells (QECs) in affiliated higher education institutions, emphasizing continuous quality improvement, governance, and strengthening institutional quality assurance mechanisms.

Safyan Ali Shah also met with Dr. Asiyah Bukhari, President, PNQAHE, who appreciated the unwavering commitment of Northwest School of Medicine towards quality education. She acknowledged Northwest School of Medicine’s active participation and valuable contribution as a member institution of PNQAHE, recognizing its continued efforts in promoting a culture of quality assurance and academic excellence.
