Dr. Munawar Ali Shah of the Pathology Department at Northwest School of Medicine conducted a pioneering workshop on “Myelodysplastic Neoplasms, Myeloproliferative Neoplasms and MDS/MPN Overlap Neoplasms”. Targeted at FCPS-II residents, M-Phil and PhD scholars, and consultants in Haematology, This specialized workshop aimed to enhance diagnostic expertise.
The interactive workshop comprised two sessions. The first session involved microscopy, where participants examined eleven MDS, MPN and MDS/ MPN cases and recording their diagnoses and questions. In the second session, Dr. Munawar Ali Shah led an in-depth review of these cases using a teaching microscope, addressing participant queries.
This innovative workshop provided hands-on experience, advancing participants’ knowledge and skills in diagnosis of these complex disorders. As a landmark event in the province, it underscores Northwest School of Medicine’s commitment to advancing medical education and research.
