Proud Moment for Northwest School of Medicine!

We are delighted to share highlights from a major international research collaborative project between Northwest School of Medicine and Islamia College University led by the University of Medicine Greifswald, Germany and supported by the European Union.

The project, titled “The Euthyroid Project”, focused on addressing iodine deficiency, a critical yet often overlooked public health issue.

Under the esteemed guidance of Prof. Dr. Amir Khan, Principal NWSM, our faculty members Prof. Dr. Waqar Ali and Dr. Nadia Qazi proudly represented NWSM in this impactful research initiative.

Additionally, 30 dedicated female medical students from NWSM actively participated, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in global health research and contributing meaningfully to evidence-based solutions for community well-being.

This collaboration reflects our commitment to advancing public health, fostering a strong research culture, and strengthening international academic partnerships.
