Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a chronic illness affecting millions worldwide, making awareness crucial. The theme for World MS Day 2024-2025 is the diagnosis, encapsulated by the campaign ‘My Multiple Sclerosis Diagnosis’ and the slogan ‘Navigating Multiple Sclerosis Together’. This theme emphasizes the importance of timely and accurate diagnoses for those living with MS, while also shedding light on the global challenges surrounding MS diagnosis. The campaign aims to raise awareness by sharing personal stories and providing essential information.

On 30th May 2024, World MS Day was celebrated at Northwest School of Medicine. A seminar was organized, serving as a powerful reminder of the importance of connections in the lives of those affected by multiple sclerosis. The aim was raising awareness, fostering community, and advocating for change, bringing about a meaningful difference in the lives of millions.

The event was organized through the collaborative efforts of Dr. Sarwat Jahan, an Associate Professor in the Pharmacology Department living with and bravely facing the disease, and her colleagues. The seminar featured talks and presentations from expert Consultant Neurologist Dr. Haroon, Psychiatrist Dr. Sylvia Ali Khan, and Assistant Professor of Pharmacology Dr. Amir Zaman.

Let’s unite to support, educate, and connect, ensuring that no one faces MS alone.
